We have our annual favorites, from Bumbershoot to Seafair, but here are eight culturally-rich and diverse gatherings you may not have heard about. Tumbleweed Music Festival
Sept. 1–3, Richland, WA

Rod Run to the End of the World

Pendleton Round-Up
Sept. 13–15, Pendleton OR

Enjoy more than 40 brews at this family-friendly event—taste beers, listen to live music, and bring the kids for activities planned for all ages.

Washington State Autumn Leaf Festival
Sept. 23–24, Leavenworth, WA
It’s always the perfect time to visit Leavenworth, including September, when the scenery boasts leaves turning in full color. This festival offers live music, pie-eating contests, a parade, and street dances in historic downtown Leavenworth.

Trailing of the Sheep Festival
Oct. 4–8, Wood River Valley, ID
This unique festival’s mission is to gather, present, and preserve the history and culture of sheep herding in Idaho and the West. Under the theme of all things sheep, you’ll enjoy concerts, workshops, presentations, and cooking classes during this culturally-rich weekend.
